This course picks up where Visual FoxExpress Jump Start leaves off. As part of this course students build an actual University course registration system.

In addition to expanding on the themes from the first class, this course will also cover concepts such as :

  • Designing powerful view-based applications

  • Working around limitations of the View Designer and dealing with issues specific to views.

  • Writing more advanced custom code and leveraging the power of VFE’s classes.

  • Designing many-to-many relationships.

  • Using business rule classes and field behavior classes

  • Handling complex relations between objects and using the power of business objects for good OOP.

  • Using ActiveX controls as non-visual COM objects

  • Employing View Parameter containers

  • Subclassing from VFE’s "i" Layer

This course is taught by Charles Hankey, a Cleveland, Ohio based consultant and a long time aficionado of the FoxExpress product line. Developers from F1 Technologies will also be available to answer questions during the course.
